Oho I love Next Gen fics that take place after Hogwarts. While I do love watching teenage drama unfold, I appreciate the (hopefully) more mature characters that comes with stories that take place after Hogwarts. It's funny, really. When I was a teenager, I was all "I'm going to read YA literature for the rest of my life! What could be interesting about an adult in an epic tale?" And now that I'm in my mid-twenties, I look back on what I read as a teen, and go "... I liked that stuff?" Not everything, of course, but some things.
Anywho. I think you did a good job with Ginny and Scorpius. There was a nice blend of their characters. Ginny was confident, funny, and full of spunk. I expect nothing less for her no matter what age she is. Scorpius was endearing: sweet but anxious. He will be a good addition to the family. I love how Ginny guessed exactly why Scorpius wanted to talk to Harry! And how Ginny left a strong enough impression on Draco for him to tell Scorpius about her bat-boogy hex! Haha!
The ending was funny. How Ginny was all, "Oh, look. Here comes my brother now.... Here's your opportunity!" Seems like something she would do. I think Ginny, and perhaps others of the Wotter family, would have a laugh at Scorpius frequently. All good fun though. I've noticed that you have a way of bringing in a twist at the end.

Author's Response:Hello again!
Perception definitely changes as you age. I'm 30 atm and I can tell you what I read now differs quite a bit from what I read when I was 20. I mean there are some classics that stay good like HP, LOTR, Hunger games...but generally, I pick a lot more varied books.
I'm glad you liked Scorpius and Ginny in this. I always thought Ginny was super underrated in the HP series. She's fierce and brave and can hex the hell out of people. I imagine Draco telling Scorpius about her Bat-boogey hexes once he found out who he was dating.
She definitely threw him under the bus! I definitely agree with them having a good laugh in good fun over Scorpius. You have to have a sense of humor to kick it with the Weasley family.
Thanks again for another lovely review!
