WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!
I READ 10K FOR THAT ANGST. WHYYYYYY.
seriously, i was shook by that ending but you really made me care about those characters! i'm reading fandom blind on basically every aspect of this story. i did a little google as i was surprised that anyone was casting chris evans as someone who gets sick quickly/weaker anyway! you did a bloody job at so many things, opening line takes us right into the story. i thought you played steve's emotions very well to see that grief for bucky plus his own survivers guilts as well as getting some queer based issues that he faces.
i love the cheeky arrival of apollo, how flashy and confident he came across but basically just opened the door and chuck him in there. the paragraphs about his crossing was really well played like focusing on the senses throughout that really heightened that emotion of doing everything he could to save bucky. i loved the little amount of bucky/steve again. the way he talked so passionately about bucky was really heartwarming. I loved the characterisation for hades too.
this is when it gets crazy or slightly devastating. like the steve's mind in that moment when he's walking and questioning himself and everything he knows/thinks is so powerful and just sad. i can't believe that it just ended up there. bucky is lost again, forever, like i didn't think that'll ever happen bc that seems too mean. i think it's just so emotional willing steve onto so he can get home with bucky. i literally had to go make dinner to calm myself down and you literally still got this messs.
anyway! bloody loved it. and love you.

Author's Response:ABBI! <3 Thank you so much for giving this a read (despite not knowing the fandom!) and leaving me such a lovely review after all this time <3 I'd apologize for the angsty ending but, well, you know me and how I love my angst! ^.^
(I don't know if you came across this in your googles, but I hope you saw the image results for how they CGI'd Chris Evans to be tiny! Honestly pretty impressive how real it looks LOL.)
I'm so glad you liked this story, and seriously, thank you for all the amazing feedback on all the different scenes/segments, it's really helpful and means a lot!!
Love,
Kayla
