Laura, hi! I am so excited to see this posted here! Ahh the immense longing and questioning that Loth feels about Marosa...I felt it too! <3 Even if he's not used to feeling romantic feelings, he does have something of a romantic soul and you definitely capture that in his observations and desires he feels for her.
Again, your knack for description and making it sound poetic and visually meaningful, it's captivating! I felt like I was transported back into this world and it was absolutely lovely to experience! :)
I really think the way you write Sabran at the end is spot on. And the choice to call her the Queen of Inys while she addresses Loth initially and then she becomes Sabran whenever she names Marosa as his potential love interest in that understated way, shows that she is the epitome of diplomacy but also she understands that certain rules/customs were meant to be broken? In a way, of course, because she tells him that he cannot be both loyal to her and to Marosa as well.
I'm looking forward to seeing if they write, and if they do, how it's orchastrated and what will happen if Sabran discovers it. And will Magret help him conceal it I wonder? I could totally see her doing that based on their interaction. ;) And I would totally be here for it hah.
Anyway, this was beautiful and I am excited that it's not yet completed and there will be more! :)
