Hi there, I am hre for the galazy review event!

 

I love the title and summary for this, they both drew me in <3

AH the first two sentences, I love this description of him as a face of arrogance and privilege melting together, it's so luxurious. And you paint this tortured internal monologue so well. I can really feel the oonfidence and regret that she falls through. She staarts off so strong and centered, knowing exactly why James wants her and what she has to offer. That she's only felt this way once upon a time and never with him.

But then their intimacy doesn't allow her to be so separate after that, and her feelings abuot James and even about herself mix. I love that she hates boys like him, even though I do love James lol. And she hates how she is just a whisper to them, even in the power of her sexuality and the fact that James wants her. 

Its such a complicated thought about female power and secual empowerment. I love how much you pack into this, and that she decides to never go back to James after this <33

We talked at the time when your idea for this was coming together. I thought it was a brilliant idea and you've done this idea proud. I love seeing another woman in James' life. He feels much of fleshed out character from reading this piece. The narrator is so good, I love the contrast between her and erin/rona. She's obviously a bit older and has a bit of baggage of her own but not caused by James. It seems quite in character that James would go for someone like the narrator if he knows it or not. #jsplovesmessygirls 

I love the idea that he's quite into her but really he has no idea who she is and certainly not how she's feeling. I think it's really good that she's just a mystery to the reader but she feels so deep and vivid without a name. I like how the name of the fic links directly into metaphor that you've used about second hand smoke. You know how much I love your description obviously and this piece is no exception. I'm so impressed by your ability to use description to worldbuild, improve atmosphere, settings and characteristics. It's all of your words have purpose. Just *chefskiss*

This fic also makes me so annoyed at James like what kinda guy calls someone babe anyway? *puke* also I know he's meant to be seeing Erin at this point so how dare he do this to her?! There isn't the vulnerability in James character that I thought I might have got from the basic concept of this but that's probably for the best. He can stay the bad guy.
