Wait wait wait is this all that we get for now?? I HOPE NOT!! I am so glad you did a chapter that’s just a group chat of Remus, Marlene, and Mary, it’s so Scottish and lovely and truly how best friends are supposed to operate. :joy: The threats of the knife emojis towards Sirius if Remus felt something was bad about him or whatever was true friendship, and then of course their deprecating comments about Remus being insecure or overthinking the situation. OOoh okay SO THIS IS INTERESTING!! Remus and Co. are wizards, but Sirius and Co. are muggles?! That complicates things a lot :O But also, I know this is me being semantical but why would Remus have a cell phone if he’s a wizard? Unless the Young People of the wizarding world are mostly cool with technology and whatnot?

Dottie you have now left me with more questions than answers, and so I must humbly beg more content of you. This is a phenomenal story so far, and I really would like to see how it ends with Sirius & Remus and the muggle/magic worlds potentially mixing!!

Can I just say how much I love this soft version of the Marauders? I mean, I suppose it might be because everyone except for Sirius & Remus are viewed through their rose-tinted glasses, but it’s just super super endearing to me and I love it so much! You definitely have a different, more artistic take on Sirius than is generally done in wolfstar fanfic, and I honestly vibe with this pairing much more in this fic because of that! Also I am proud to say I knew about Ada Lovelace bc of a sci-fi book series that uses “Lovelace” as the name for their spaceship AI….but anyway yay for more in-story history lessons!! Sirius and Remus continuing to avoid the pinned topics is a big mood, but oh well we got a story out of it :P I know he’s not technically in the chat, but the interjections from James are giving me life and I love that he loves cuddles. Great chapter!! :)

Hiii :)

I have to say I did not know the archives supported emojis, so that is actually quite fun (recalling from last chapter & the boxes where emojis are supposed to be in this chapter, rip to my computer lol) as it adds to the sentiment of the messages. I love that you’ve kept Remus’s love and skill as a teacher in this fic because it’s truly not written about enough in fic and he was the best dada teacher in the books and no i am not accepting feedback on that opinion at this time, tyvm. But really, I think that inspiration he has when tutoring hits home for a lot of our FFT folks that are teachers, and even for me as a non-teacher who was raised by teachers, so well done on that characteristic! Sirius and Remus going off on how great their friends are and how much they love them is so cute and I really really hope we get some group chats or something in the future with all of them because that would be amaaaazing. Keep up the good work! :)

Hello again Dottie, this is too damn cute and funny and i’m pretty sure my teeth are rotting with how sweet this whole thing is!! I s2g if they aren’t actually at the same university so they can eventually meet up in person I *will* riot and *will* flip a table. More rambly bits from Sirius about the art he does and a lil rambly history bit from Remus, yay!! Also their arguing about the moon now makes me wonder if, in fact, you have *not* made this a full AU and werewolves are still a legit thing?? Because if Remus hates the moon still here and his bad days aren’t that frequent, that points to lycanthropy more than a regular chronic illness….you have given me lots of questions!! Also the signing off with another x this time, oh boys :’) I do hope they end up getting to all of the convos/topics they’ve pinned “for the moment” because otherwise that list is gonna be loooong. Lovely chapter :)

I’m back for more!

Aww Sirius and Remus chatting in the afternoon after some classes are done and before Sirius’s evening classes start is cute af already! Honestly you don’t need to apologize for this fic being where you drop all of your history knowledge as my education in history is severely lacking so while reading for fun i am also learning as a bonus! :) It’s sweet and caring of each of them not to be prying too much into each other’s personal lives yet but still IMMEDIATELY wanting to know about the pets each one has. I love Maggie, Penny, Angel, and Finn with all of my heart and I sure hope they make reappearances in later chapters!!! <3 As this is an AU, I’m very interested to know what you’ve chosen to do with Remus and the reformulation/changes in lycanthropy from canon to regular people's chronic illnesses. Sirius is kind enough not to push it even though he’s curious, which isn’t a trait he’s usually written with in fic, and I like this version of him for sure. Great job on this chapter, Dottie! :)

I don’t know why Scottish Remus is so funny to me, but I am also super here for it, especially as Sirius is clearly Very English. I absolutely loved that after the initial fake flirting or whatever you want to call it and Sirius reveals why he’s even texting this random guy is because of a dare, they keep chatting! And they’re chatting about what they do and generic getting-to-know-you topics, which is fodder for a friendship or relationship to blossom in the future. ^_^ The only thing that I found confusing was that because you’ve just done bolded & italicized text, I forgot which was meant to be which (let’s ignore I literally read the summary ten seconds before starting the chapter) so it might be a good idea to maybe add identifiers for the first couple lines at the beginning for those of us like me who read the premise and then immediately forget that the first line is from Sirius, not Remus. :facepalm: Anywho, I am very excited about the concept, the Scottish cheat sheets, and for the rest of the story to unfold! :)
