Hey Taylor! Let’s ignore how long your request languished in my thread, mmkay? :s
I feel like I say this in every review that I leave you, but it’s still so true! You manage to make a ship and era/characters you’ve written loads of time stay fresh and adapt well with the format and setting, which in this case is the more modern chatfic, and I just love it so much. I still think that the nicknames of everyone in the different chats are just perfect for how you’ve characterized them, and it especially gives Peter a brighter, less ~slimy bad guy~ role to play in this fic too compared to what he’s done in canon, which I like. Also the fact that James and Peter frequently text about Sirius & Remus hooking up and debating whether or not to just be like, “yo idiots, we know what happened, you know what happened, figure it out pls this is ridiculous” so I look forward to that resolution, lol.
The end with James and Lily texting because James LIED TO THE BROS about who he went home with/hooked up is so ~them~ it’s great. Also like, the fact that he didn’t bother to correct his mates is perfect. Loved this chapter, Taylor!! :)

like, so so much. it's incredible how you've gotten everyone's voices down, and i love that the focus of this chapter was on marlene/dorcas. but i feel so bad for remus that he's been kind of stuck in the middle of these things, though i understand why dorcas is like 'i need to know these vital pieces of information and you're the only one who can give it to me because it's your fault i'm in this position'.
but my god, marlene is so relatable in the group chat with the girls, haha. i really just want to hug her and keep reminding her to breathe. but she's 100% on the right track of figuring out dorcas' schedule so she can avoid her because it's definitely going to be awkward and i'm 100% here for it. like, i want that now, please and thank you.
dorcas seems intent on winning marlene back, which i mean, marlene is great so obviously she would. it makes me more curious about what happened between them and i hope we'll get more backstory as the story progresses and they keep showing up in each other's spaces.

And poor Remus, too, caught in the middle like that! But I agree with Sirius, he kind of did ask for it, since he was the one who invited Dorcas to the party in the first place... :P I love how he just forwards the messages to Sirius and panics and is like "OMG, what do I do? :P "

You know I quite enjoy a good chatfic, and I am super excited about this one too! These chat nicknames are giving me life -- what app lets you set nicknames bc all of the different ones are just too funny!! Also OF COURSE it’s a Marauders AU that opens with them throwing a party during their uni years, like, how could they (you?) not do that!? *joy emoji* everyone has a clear pattern of speaking (texting?) and that can be hard to do with such a large ensemble cast but you really know everyone’s personality quite well so you nail it! I can’t wait to see what else goes on in this ridiculous chatfic!

everything about this chatfic is hilarious, and i'm continuing to love every second of it. i feel like it's a breeding ground for chaos, and this chapter just about proved it.
1000% feel for marlene for accidentally drunk texting her ex. it seems like dorcas was a good sport about it, though, so hopefully it's just an embarrassing anecdote for them later on. i'm still kinda curious about why they broke up and am lowkey rooting for them to get their shit together.
but i absolutely looove all the friendships you have going on here and all of the different dynamics. i think lily's my favorite so far, though.
and TAYLOR, WHAT DOES THAT LAST DM MEAN BETWEEN HER AND JAMES? like, i feel like we're supposed to be taking it literally, but are we??? idk. i mean, james is definitely one to sleep around so I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE AN INSIDE JOKE. ughhh

so i've been curious about this fic since you started tweeting about it, and it's just??? hilarious already, i can't wait to see how this is going to unfold.
you've managed to do an incredible setup with this first chapter, and sometimes that's the hardest part about chatfics. but there's a lot here; we've got the apartment situations, that marlene dated dorcas and how she's the only ex that counts, and jily being, well... jily. and i absolutely love these ridiculous nicknames in the group chat and how fitting they are for everyone. i definitely snorted when i saw mary's nickname (no lily ur not responsible for that) and also the dad friend is definitely my second favorite.
and honestly, this first chapter was hilarious. i love how in character everyone was; lily wanting to get revenge by getting the fellowship (10/10 props to the flamel reference there) but james still offering to beat him up for being a jerk. and lily's sarcasm, and how she put a smiley whenever she was being even the slightest bit rude was hilarious and perfect.i really want to know what happened with marlene and dorcas, and if they're gonna work it out, or if there's another love interest on the horizon for marlene. and obviously stoked to see how jily is going to unfold here and how she's not afraid to tear his ego straight to the ground, lol. "ur tequila is great" was amazing.
and i love that you've included peter, i feel like he often gets sidelines in marauders fics (especially in aus), so it's nice to see him here, even if he's kind of a background character.so clearly, i loved this, and i'm here for it when you post the next chapter, because there will be a next chapter, right??
Hi!! I love chatfics, and this one is already shaping up to be a favorite tbh! I can't wait to see how everything shakes up, especially the ships -- I hope Dorcas and Marlene can fix things! I'd love to learn more about what happened there. I also really love how Marlene broke into Sirius's room and how she and Remus got smashed together haha.
The banter is amazing!! The back and forth between Lily and James is so so so good. I loved James offering to beat up the guy who I can only assume is Snape, and I really liked the line where Lily takes back her compliment.
I also find it REALLY funny that Remus is trying so hard to be The Responsible One but then he goes and invites Dorcas, and then is the first (ish) to get drunk. I'm excited to see more of him and his sense of humor! OH and I also like how you've characterized Peter here!!

Hey Taylor, I saw this on the Gryffie new stories a while back and I always love to read a fun chatfic in between work procrastination and this is amazing so far :D I'm having a bit of a struggle to keep up with the elaborate nicknames, but there is nothing more realistic than elaborate chat nicknames, so :D I think I got them all by now!
I love the Dorcas/Marlene shout, though NOOO for Dorcas breaking Marlene's heart, not a fan! Hope it can be resolved because the dad friend needs her happiness!!Also love how fake mom friend is immediately super fiercely overprotective, which makes me now convinced she truly IS the mom friend!!Also, hahaha, is the greaseball actually a reference to Snape?? because if it is it's very ONPOINT
