This is such a charming story, Juls. I loved it when I first read it a while back, and I always meant to leave a review, but, you know, time slips away...
The mood is entirely peaceful, gentle, and full of love, just the thing that Lucy needs after feeling rejected by her older sister and cousins. Your blending of the two worlds, the Potterverse and the world of Narnia, is perfect. They fit together as if by magic. Even the names (Lucy) and the status (youngest in the group) are the same. What a happy coincidence!
I loved your characterizations of Mr. Tumnus and Aslan. In The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Mr. Tumnus's mood was affected by the stressful situation that Narnia was in at the outset of the story, and similarly Aslan was facing a grave crisis. But in your story, those troubles are far behind everyone now, and the citizens of Narnia are happy and carefree. A cheery development.
And I like your characterization of Lucy Weasley as being well-mannered and considerate, appreciative of the invitation to visit Narnia -- an ideal guest. She may be the youngest and the left-behind, but she has had an experience better that that of her older relatives, who have done nothing more special than talk about boys.
So now she comes back home with a new book and an animated toy kitten, two things she will enjoy and cherish. Such a nice story! Thank you for writing.

Hi Juls!
I was browsing though stories and I was so psyched to see this! Before Harry Potter was a thing, when I was 6 to 8 or so, I was flat out obsessed with the Narnia books. I used to pretend I was there all the time. I am so happy to know there's another fan around! <3
It is very clever that this is "another Lucy" going to Narnia, and how that seems to make everyone especially warm toward her. It does stink to be the youngest and feel left out, and I'm glad Lucy had an experience of being welcomed in Narnia to counteract that.
Also, how lucky for her that she got to meet Aslan! That's great timing. Hopefully Reep with have returned from the East by the time she gets back. *looks eagerly for sequel*
I wish I could try the tea cakes. I bet they're going to be delicious. Oh my gosh, and the little metal kitten! So cute! I want one of those.
Thank you for writing this. It made me really happy. <33

Hello! I'm here to finally read and review your entry to my underrated character challenge! I'm super excited because I've probably only read a handful of crossovers during my entire fanfiction journey. I love Narnia, I read one or two of the books as a child, and I loved the films growing up.
Poor Lucy! She wants to be included but everyone thinks she's too young. A nice parallel between our Weasley and Pevensie, too young to be taken seriously. The Burrow also seems like the perfect setting to lead to another magical world, even though it's fairly magical. Whilst there's Narnia, I could also imagine Lucy running after an animagus (the rabbit) and falling down a rabbit hole to Wonderland.
This is so sweet, and very reminiscient of those children's books I fell in love with when I was growing up. Everyone caters to Lucy, and makes her feel a lot more important than her family do. Which can't be helped, there's probably an army of Weasleys at this point, and being the youngest she's bound to get lost in the thick of it. I really like the ending, how Lucy is thinking about letting Molly ii in on the fun, once she's forgiven her. That's so typical of the younger/older sibling dynamic!
Such a sweet, charming fic - thank you so much for writing this entry! I loved reading!
Hi Juls!
This story is so sweet!! First of all, I love the concept of combining Harry Potter with Narnia. Secondly, Lucy Weasley was a charming child. I enjoyed all of her thoughts, and how open she was to adventuring. At first she was so upset at being left out by her cousins, but then she had a much better time—because she got to go to Narnia!!
Your descriptions were lovely throughout the story. I especially liked how Narnia just appeared behind the hedgerow, and the cozy tea, and Aslan!! Him in a mood to act like a cat was so fun to see. I also loved the idea that all cats can go to Narnia (I don’t remember now if Lewis made that up, but whatever the case, I love that you put it in here).
Mr Tumnus knew just how to make Lucy feel special. They had a grown up tea with good table manners (I enjoyed how Lucy had learned to behave well because she has to go to Ministry events sometimes because of her dad). She got a special recipe—and the enchanted kitten!
I’m glad she got back in time for no one to worry about her; and I certainly hope that there will be another tale—I love Reepichip too and I would adore seeing Lucy meet him.
Lovely story!
Yours,
Noelle
Hey, Juls! Here for your request! :D
This was really cute and sweet! :) Poor Lucy, being the little one left out... I guess that happens a lot to younger siblings? :P Especially when the older sibling starts to get interested in romantic stuff... unbelievable! What's even so interesting about boys??? ;)
I love Narnia, so I thought it was really cool of you to come up with this crossover :P And I also really loved the parallel between Lucy Weasley and Lucy Pevensie :) Their experiences were actually pretty different, of course, but the way this Lucy immediately connected to Tumnus and the tea they had together, and even the way she patted Aslan, all gave me fond memories of that other Lucy. They do share the same innocence and kindness, don't they? <3
I must admit that I would've liked a bit more expansion on her visit? You had some really nice description that made me smile, the atmosphere of the magical land you gave off was really good, it felt so happy and peaceful and beautiful... but all of Lucy's encounters seemed to flow off a bit too quickly? Like, I don't know, perhaps it would've been nice to have a few more lines of dialogue here and there? Or some more context about the reason of her visit in the first place? Am I making sense?
To be fair, I guess the reason of her visit was Crookshanks' will of reward her for being such a lovely cat keeper? :P Btw, I thought the idea of Crookshanks (as well as many cats) visiting Narnia and hanging out with Aslan was hilarious! :P
"Thank you!" Lucy replied politely and carefully took one of the tea cakes and one of the finger sandwiches like her mother had taught her to. Being a daughter of a Ministry Official meant all eyes were upon your conduct.
Lucy just didn't remember Uncle Harry's or Aunt Hermione's kids being all that dainty though, especially Hugo; how he could shove three different types of sweeties in his gaping mouth and still talk.
This was probably my favourite bit of the whole one-shot! Of course the daughter of Percy Weasley would be proper and composed, while the children of the Golden Trio would be ridicolously messy! :P Looks like Hugo took after his dad quite a bit, too! :P
The tea sounded delicious, and Crookshanks' present was super sweet! And I really loved the coming back, and Molly feeling bad for the way she acted with her little sister and looking for her! As much as younger siblings are annoying, there is this need to protect them and make sure they are okay, right? <3
I also really, really liked the ending, and all the maybes in Lucy's head. I do wonder if she'll ever find her way back to Narnia and what adventures would await her if/when she does. :P
This was really cute! Thank you for stopping by my thread! <3
Snowball hug,
Chiara
