Hi Madi, I'm here for B v. B for Team Bronze!
Woah, Raven/Murphy??? Say no more. I love Murphy in Sanctum tbh, I feel like he is made for just wilderness, and I love how you've captured that in the first few paragraphs. And Raven and her technological prowess, I love it. Him calling it 'her little smart map' is also so Murphy. I love how domestic they are being.
ONE BED. YOU MUST USE IT. Murphy, Raven notices everything, you cannot simply inch closer to her nonchalantly :))) I like how you've tied in their mutually destructive recklessly survivalist tendencies, my favorite part of Raven and Murphy individually and as a pair.
AHHH THOSE KISSES!! They were so wonderful and sweet but not too sweet for either of our main characters. I felt the practicality that I love so much about them reflected here--I especially love how Murphy just does it because it felt right :) My heart is dying for more Murphy and Raven!!!!
Thanks for such a fun, fluffy read :)

hii madi! i'm here to judge my challenge, and i gotta say, i was super stoked to find out you were writing murven for this. i know that murven wasn't your original plan, but that's very much okay - i love these two idiots and feel like they've come along way since s1, and i love how you highlighted that in this fic.
honestly, finding that room/house/shelter gave me serious art bunker vibes and i really dug that here. you did a great job showing how comfortable they've become with each other, and i love that you didn't start this off with the first day of the journey, but rather the eighth, so that they have time to establish a routine but still have some bickering/banter. they're still not afraid to call each other on their shit, which is something i've always loved about them. and everything being a team effort makes so much sense and really showed what living on the ring was like for them; kinda how they were able to rely and trust each other to look out for each other, y'know?
and oh my god, i loved how they talked about things. like, just... normal conversations :P their relationships, laughing about their memories on earth, and generally just bonding with each other. and they weren't shy with each other and seriously, i wish we got this kind of murven content on the show. i also loved that you didn't really go into details about what happened with memori; like, the fact that they broke up was more important than how long/what happened/etc, if that makes sense.
and i think murphy's always going to be haunted by shooting raven, y'know? but i love that they're not afraid to talk about it and he's still willing to apologize when she brings up the brace - a part of the conversation i thought was necessary and feel like it's not really touched on in fic that much? but the brace is unfortunately tied to raven, and it's a huge part of her relationship with murphy, so i was glad to see they brought it up, too. and the fact that they really got comfortable with each other after raven took the brace off was almost symbolic, idk if that was intentional or not, but i dug it.
and you did a great job with their tension, too. the casual looks or when raven subconsciouly looked down at his lips when they were cuddling for -comfort- and -security reasons- was adorable. and really, even though this fic took place during a wind storm, it just felt really soft???
also, i loved (how many times do we think i can say 'i loved' in a review??) that murphy didn't kiss her until the end, that it was just kind of a spur of the moment thing. but it didn't feel random or out of place, either; and the fact that they were holding hands when they left the shelter is just precious.
anyway, i think you did a great job with this!! thanks so much for entering the challenge and writing murven for it ♥
Hey Madi,
I was pretty excited about this piece from your status about Jill, the 100 is my new fandom which I'm pretty into at the moment. I think this is probably my favourite pairing from the series even if they're not canon. I don't really see Murphy and Emori personally so Raven/Murphy, yes, please!
I thought you did a fab job with your characterisation of Raven in particular, I feel like she perhaps a tricky character to get right. I thought you really captured her fighting spirit within this piece though. I think the balance between her and murphy seemed really spot on. I've always thought that they were quite equals in the fact that they have a quite a lot of banter within each other and they can give/take it quite evenly. I thought that dynamic was played well.
I love the setting that you've chosen as well, the trapped together thing worked really well and very believeable. I liked how you made it more romantic than smutty tbh. I thought it worked well with the build up between them as Murphy says 'felt right', they both feel very in canon, it felt like a natural progression from what we know about them in the series to something for romantic was paced very well even in this piece which is only a one-shot! It makes me sad that we don't get to see this in canon but at least we have talented writer like you to make up for it.
