Welp, I’ve read enough of your drabbles so far, why stop there? XD How many you got? I got time.

 

Ugh I hate teenagers. Not really. I love them and want them to love each other.

 

The dichotomy of them looking the perfect couple but still being bullied hurts me.

 

It also makes me sad that the person she is talking to will never hear what she is saying, as I’m imagining these as things she wants to say to him, not things she actually says. But if she does say them directly to him, I still imagine he won’t really hear her.

 

Ugh, let him go! Don’t spend any more time and energy on him!

 

So clearly I got invested on this, so good job with that.

Hi Hayden! I admit I've never heard the song this is based on, but even without knowing it, this story makes perfect sense. I'm not surprised to read your A/N and see that it's based on your own experiences, because the story feels very personal. It's quite bittersweet, too, and I like that - it has elements of sweet nostalgia and elements of just bitterness, but in the end, even though things may have fallen apart, the narrator wishes their ex all the best and it ends on a note of acceptance, at least how it seems to me. Lovely work on this.

Wow. Hayden, this was so, so powerful and relatable. You managed to blend bitter with bittersweet with raw affection so, so well, and I loved it. I can't believe this is 192 words. Just. Wow.
