This was very cute! I love a first kiss WolfStar fic, and this one was very sweet. Sirius should definitely learn his limits with drinking, though! hahaha I really enjoyed the window scene where they're all smoking, it was just a cute group moment, the four of them breaking the rules together. You did a good job, too, at making the moment Remus breaches the subject of 'last night' with Sirius shift into something much more tense than the environment had been before. Sirius' panic as he wonders what drunk him has done to upset Remus was really nice, too, but obviously even better when he realizes he did not in face mess up by saying something stupid after all! The ending was also adorable, and I like that neither of them stopped to care that other people were in the room with them, they only had eyes for each other and the rest of the world was tuned out. Really sweet read, glad I stopped by!

Hi Lexi! I’m here for your Challenge Entry Review!

 

This story has such a different tone than Mssr. Padfoot. It’s bright and bouncy while Mssr. Padfoot was poignant and pretty dark throughout—even in the lighter moments. I laughed during the first scene where those casualties from the night before are groaning through their hangovers at breakfast. Of course Sirius would be in the think of that—I imagine when he decides to drink he goes all in. But it’s interesting that Sirius, even in his painful, hungover state can still appreciate Remus’s beauty. James is amusing as he teases Sirius, offering him food to eat that the other young man couldn’t possibly stomach.

 

I like the way you write the banter between the friends. It’s light and playful. I also really liked how Remus used magic to get rid of his cigarette butt.

 

The slow reveal on “what happened last night” was well timed. The first tug at Sirius’s memory when he sees the door handle through Remus’s odd behavior to when the two guys finally talk it out. It must have been a painful conversation for Remus, since he has a much clearer memory of the previous night and I’m glad, for his sake, that Sirius gets it together before too much awkwardness passes. 

 

The thought that Remus tastes of smoke and chocolate is charming.

Hi Lexi!! Here for some August RvG and to (finally) start reviewing your AP now that I've got a bit of time! 

 

So first, I just wanted to say that I LOVE this! I love first kiss stories like this, and this was really well done. I loved how you built up Sirius remembering the evening, especially the hint in the middle about the door, where he kind of remembers being shoved up against the door? But then brushes it off as a dirty dream, because like, why would anyone have shoved him up against a door last night (ohhh that was SUCH a delightful little tease). 

 

I really adore your characterzatons of Remus and Sirius here. They're both absolutely delightful. Sirius as a narrator here was a great choice. His voice is awesome and it was pretty fun to watch him suffer miserably throughout the day and try to piece things together (I AM NEVER DRINKING AGAIN what is more relatable lollll). 

 

But it was truly delightful to see him finally piece together what actually happened. I mean, terribly awkward for a minute there and omg poor poor Remus who somehow thinks Sirius doesn't want him (which, HOW, Remus, open your beautiful eyes, the man is CLEARLY in love with you). But it is a cute little ending there where Sirius manges to get things together and proclaim his love. A+ work, good job!!
