Wow, this little piece was not what I expected at all!

 

From the title I thought I might see something about the aftereffects of the war, and totally wasn’t expecting to find Hermione captured, over golden snidgets no less!

 

And I totally did not expect Luna to be the one to do the rescuing - awesome twist! And who is this Lexi? I want to learn more about her!

 

Hermione/Luna/Lexi sounds like a fascinating Regulation of Control of Magical Creatures trio, and I’d love to see more of them!

 

This feels really interesting to me, and if you’re still considering expanding it to a novella I’d be very interested to see where it goes!

Hi Dojh167! Thank you for stopping by and reading this small piece. And 1000x apologies for responding 4 months later. I need to get better at this >_>;;

Lexi is my OC from "Protector of Mankind;" something I'm currently working on reposting here since HPFF is shutting down (rip in pieces ;_;).

I'm going to spend some time to feel out some ideas and see what I can do with it. The story will be a novella at most.

This seems very much like something Hermione would be caught doing, if she were ever to be caught at anything - protecting magical creatures. She really is a hero of magical creatures, and it doesn't surprise me that she'd be working to stop illegal Snidget poaching. I am so glad that Luna and Lexi found Hermione there, though, and helped her escape. Their greeting to her kind of made me laugh though - right after they've immobilized at least two men who were keeping her hostage, they walk in and Luna is just as dreamy-voiced as ever, not at all surprised to find Hermione there, haha.

This seems like it would be a really interesting expanded peace, if you haven't done so already. The surly man taking Hermione hostage while she was spying on their Golden Snidget poaching (and, as a side note, I really like the idea of Hermione being apart of the Department of the Regulation of Control of Magical Creatures) is a fun concept and Luna and Lexi coming to her rescue, too! I can see the three of them getting into all kinds of trouble in the department. Sounds like it could be a really fun and interesting story -- definitely let me know if you expand on this!

So sorry it's taking me 9ever to respond to your review. After I repost all my stories from HPFF (rip in pieces), I have to solidify this story and expand on it more. It's definitely something I want to explore and pump it full of girl power!

This is so intriguing, and yesss Hermione getting caught spying on people doing something wrong. I love it, and I can't wait to read the larger story if you end up writing it!

I'm currently working out the storyline and the hardest part is deciding it to be a short story collection, one-shot or novella. Something's bound to come up lol.
