I thought it was time that I came to check out your authors page as I'm not that familiar with your work but I hope to change that!

 

So I love Katie, she is such a good layered character within this one-shot. I thought the way you created her as such a confident bi character. she obviously have a very fun personality so I'm really connecting with the character that she is. I do like how she is also quite shy around Ginny, she has a great vulnerability to her character which does make her so likeable.

 

I thought the scene in the shower was so good. I love how you wrote it because it feels almost empowering to get the look at female sexuality. It was really rather powerful scene.

 

I loved how you build up their friendship over the story. we can see Katie has a crush on Ginny but there is such a wonderful spark build up between the two. I thought the part when Ginny was questioning herself was a good moment within the story. I feel the last section is made so much better by that genuine connection between Katie and Ginny. It's obvious that they have grown to care a lot about each other. The moment of realisation that Ginny cares is perfect!

 

The last section is great because it was so well build up especially as the scene with them showering together but not together. You can feel that tension umping up. I think that emotional connection really made the story and the end of the story so satisfying for the reader. great job on this piece!

Hi, dear! I'm here for your request!

And no... I'm not a smut person, I'm afraid... :P but I decided to try anyway, and I'm not regretting it. :)

I enjoyed the pairing you chose to write (I don't think I've ever heard about Ginny/Katie before, but why not?) and the dynamic you created between them, the way Katie had been feeling attracted by Ginny for a while, but believing she didn't stand a chance, and the way Ginny was "I'm totally not into girls" but the more time she spent with her, the more she started to see her in a different light. I do wonder what Molly's reaction would be if Ginny brought Katie home and introduced her as her girlfriend, actually... :P

I really enjoyed the setting you used, too. Quidditch antics are always fun and I enjoyed seeing Oliver as captain being extra hard on Katie for no apparent reason (although I suspect it is just because he wanted to pull the best out of her, it was his way to motivate her further, as annoying as he might be...) Now I'm a bit disappointed that Italy lost at the last minute (although for some reason I'm surprised they were winning in the first place... maybe because I associate Quidditch to rugby, and we are so bad at rugby... :P)

Sorry, I'm talking about everything but the smut part... but as I said, smut is not really for me... but I did enjoy a lot the story as a whole. You asked about the flow in your request and I think the flow was really, really good. You had a pretty nice balance between dialogue and description and it all read really smoothly and naturally, so great job on it! ;) (And well... I think the smut was nicely done too... the chemistry between the two girls was awesome)

I'm not sure if I should add more (I feel like this was a bit of a pointless review) but nice work! ;)

Thank you so so much for such a sweet review!I'm glad that despite you not being a smut person that you still found a way to enjoy it story! There will be more of these two from the same universe so (if you dmcome back for more) you may just get to see some of what Molly thinks/how she reacts. OLIVER becomes a bigger role in other k+G stories too, so you'll see that in the future if you have interest in reading more (it will be smutty stories though so I won't be offenses if you don't return for more haha)

Hi Lexi, here for our swap! You know, I think this actually might be the first thing of yours I’ve read/reviewed? I’m excited!!

Oooooooh we got into the smutty bits real quick, didn’t we? Katie’s already got a crush on her from the very get-go, and it has translated into some steamy shower moments already. (Get it? Steamy? Because… you know, shower? Alright that’s enough dumb jokes out of me for today I’ll go back to reviewing this thing properly.)

 

Anyways, I love that, from here, their relationship really starts to blossom, starting out as a friendship until it turns into something more. The transition is gradual - especially when we switch to Ginny’s side of things and she’s kind of starting off with this whole ‘I can’t believe her family did that to her, my mum would never do that, not that I like girls though’ to eventually full-on fantasizing about her in mid-conversation.

 

I also really enjoy Katie’s characterization, particularly in regards to this Quidditch match. She won’t let Oliver telling her ‘no’ actually stop her form doing what she wants, and she’s perfectly willing to put her life on the line in the name of winning the game. And, of course, it resulted in Ginny freaking out and then…. that kiss, ow owwwwww.

 

And, uh, to continue that trend of being very daring and going after what she wants as soon as she wants it…. touching herself with Ginny in the next stall over was certainly a risk, haha. But it very obviously paid off for her - it’s also so very typical that Ginny wouldn’t just completely ignore what she could tell was happening in the shower next to her. Tbh I’d love to read this moment from Ginny’s perspective as well and her thought process throughout all of that. Anyways, this second round of smutty bits was just as well done as the first - or better, really, because now it actually involves both of them in person. :P

 

Anyways, I very much enjoyed this and will definitely be back to your AP for more soon!

I really, really like the way you built up their attraction to each other - I feel like when attraction grows out of a friendship that's already established, it doesn't happen simultaneously, and in this case, it especially makes sense that Katie's feelings came first, because she didn't have the added step of figuring out what her sexual orientation was. Ginny's experience with reconsidering her sexual orientation also made total sense to me - it can be really easy to table some of those questions when you're dating a man (ask me how, haha), and I think that attraction to a specific woman is often what sparks that realization. By the same token, though, I love that you didn't erase Ginny's being attracted to men just because she was attracted to Katie, which so many authors do - yessss for fighting against bi-erasure.

 

And, of course, the culmination of that tension was also really well done. Katie was so bold to do that in the public showers, period, but especially with Ginny in the next stall! It's absolutely consistent in the personality you developed for her, though - next to that Quidditch stunt, touching herself in the showers was nothing. And even though she was trying to be quiet, it even led to what she wanted - because of course Ginny would act on that opportunity rather than get embarrassed and run away. :P

 

(Although... was Katie really trying to be quiet in the first place? I kind of suspect she wasn't, even if just subconsciously. :P)

Okay. So... um. A review. I can do this. *fans self* I can absolutely give a review that isn’t just me screaming about how unbelievably steamy this was. *deep breath* Okay. Okay. Here I go.  

 

So yeah, it goes without saying that this was incredibly hot smut. But it was super well written hot smut, which makes it 100000x better. I absolutely loved this. It wasn’t just steamy time for steamy time’s sake, there was also a sweet undertone to this. Katie’s helpless crush on Ginny was adorable. She was so smitten, even without really knowing her well yet. It was cute and totally relatable. I think we’ve all had that person in our lives that just seemed so cool, sexy, confident, and amazing. And you just find yourself completely drawn to them like a moth to a flame. You’re just like, awww Katie, you’ve got it bad, girl. And then they actually get to talking, and start to hang out and just... awwwww! 

 

I love how their friendship developed, and you watched them gradually become more and more important to one another. And then Ginny struggling with her thoughts of if she was actually attracted to Katie. That is something relatable, when you’re suddenly thinking, “wait. They’re a girl, too. I... I can’t be attracted to them, can I?” Yes, Ginny. You are. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Get it, girl. lol 

 

Oh man, Oliver is a piece of work, isn’t he? Like, lay off Katie, would ya? We know you’re borderline psychotic about Quidditch, but Katie has been your friend since Hogwarts. Calm yourself, boy. But it was true to his character. Nothing matters more to him than healthy teammates. And not for the sake of their health, but for the sake of winning. He’s something else. Although, that move she pulled was rather risky. I can understand why he wouldn’t have wanted her to try it. And Ginny’s response. *face heats* 

 

Ginny’s anger, and it slowly dawning on Katie that Ginny cares. The tension in that moment was insane, and then it just exploded, and I was like, FINALLY! Oh that kiss. My word, that kiss. It was a long time coming, and so filled with heat and passion, and my god I loved it. Then when they went to their separate shower stalls, I was like, NOOOOO! I thought that was it. That Ginny may have freaked out, still questioning her sexuality, or her feelings for Katie. And poor Katie, who just could not focus on anything else besides knowing Ginny was showering right next to her, just separated through a sheet. And her... response to that realization. Um... *fans face again* Then Ginny coming to join her. I... I don’t have words that I can get away with saying in a review without getting in trouble lol. But it was extremely steamy. 

 

This was fantastic, lovely!! I cannot wait to read the other installments of this pair. Such an amazing first part. I loved it!!

okay so you write really great (hot...sexy) smut! it's not too much and it's not too little and it's really well integrated in the whole story. i enjoyed reading it *_*

 

i also thought that the way the relationship between katie and ginny developed over time was sweet. of course, katie was into ginny and daydreaming about her long before they started being a lot more friendly than they used to be but i liked the fact that she didn't even try to force anything else out of their friendship. it all happened quite naturally. ginny's worry about her after she jumped, the anger she felt at doing risky moves was quite sweet to read :D

 

and i liked katie's character! she's so fun and carefree, it's easy to see why ginny ends up liking her, first as a friend and then as something more *_* and that last scene was seriously hot *_*

 

i almost forgot about oliver - i like his characterisation. he's really tough and all but he's also worried which is how he was in the books, but obviously as an adult and in professional quidditch he would get only tougher.
