Hey Kate! Here to review some of your Scorbus/Curesed Child fics! 

 

This is a lovely opening chapter of this story! You do a great job at defining and raising the stakes. Going on holiday with your best mate who also happens to be your significant other is high stakes indeed! Especially when Harry Potter is your father, lol. 

 

I really like Teddy's presence in this chapter. In Cursed Child (please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been too long since I've read it), we don't get to see Teddy, whcih I was super bummed about because I was anxious to see how he fit into the Potter family. Well, good thing there's such thing as fan fiction and I get to answer right here in this CC-aligned fic! Your take on Teddy is very interesting--I've mostly seen him with Victoire and sometimes Dominique or Lily. Never James! Is the genesis of this relationship in one of your other CC-aligned fics? It would be interesting to find out how James and Teddy has come about!

 

And I like how you have both Teddy and James adapt each other's qualities. Teddy with his playful teasing of Albus (the cutest! Their relationship is awesome) to James's levitating the tea for the both of them (something that I don't imagine the CC James ever doing). 

 

I also really like your Harry. His relationship with Albus in Cursed Child was... anything but ideal (at least, for the vast majority, yay for character development). It's really nice to see the growth and breadth in their relationship in this chapter. Sure, Albus is really nervous to ask Harry to go on holiday with Scorpius. And we, the audience, know the extent of Harry's intimidation. But.. then you pull the rug from underneath the reader (in a very good way) and have him totally on board--and lol at Ginny for having expected for them to have asked sooner. 

 

And then the fluff to close out the opening chapter! Scorpius and Albus are adorable. They're definitely teenagers in love, snogging and cuddling and making grand plans of their holiday. You do a fantastic job at exploring the depths of their relationship and establishing their chemistry. Things are looking pretty good for Albus right now...

 

...which, for an opening chapter, makes me suspect: when is this going to crash and burn?! Your story summary suggests that there's a deal and then a dark threat rising... what do you have in store for these lovely characters?!
