It's quite a marvelous story. I guess the readers immediately can imagine Lily was preparing for the ceremony, the color of the mood is brilliant white with much hope from your description. You wrote not only the atmosphere of the dressing room but also Lily's fear towards the threat of the coming war and her sadness related with her elder sister, Petunia. The episode how James messed up Petunia's wedding and the reason why she wouldn't come are plausible.

 

Besides, I was very impressed by the other fear Lily had before the ceremony. She is very smart and very sensitive thinking over her future life with James (as we know their fate, we can't stop feeling for her more...) and we understand James Potter's propose was needed for illuminating the dark times.

 

I think this chapter is a beautiful piece of your works.
