Oooh, it was clever of McGonagall to include the spell to prevent secrets from being leaked! And to prevent students from skipping out on their responsibilities! One issue I always have with Secret Santas is that I’m terrible at keeping secrets, so I could always use some forced secret-keeping spells to help me out. :D Anyway, I’m going to throw some guesses out in the air: I am predicting that Ginny got Blaise, while Harry got Pansy? Neither of them were at all pleased with their selections, so I figure that they have pre-existing negative impressions of the students they chose!

Watching Hermione try her very best to be subtle by being the direct opposite of subtle and talking to as many people as she could manage is so funny! I love the bits of humor throughout this story -- it makes it properly light, properly festive! I never would’ve taken Draco Malfoy to have a sweet tooth, but I suppose we all have our hidden depths, don’t we? :D

I love Ron. He knows what’s up! I know this hasn’t been updated for a little while, but I’d love to be able to read another chapter. <3

Oh, this festive, cheery story is absolutely what I needed at this time of night! I don’t often read Dramione but the story sounded so lovely that I couldn’t resist. <3

I absolutely adore this image of Flitwick bumbling about merrily as he decorates!! What a charming, wonderful picture -- thank you for writing it so I could imagine it! You have a way of infusing your descriptions with lovely holiday cheer; I don’t know how you do it, but everything seems so bright and glimmery and pretty!

I really love gift exchanges, so I am all for Ginny and Hermione’s idea. I’m also really glad that they thought of everything with regards to different religious beliefs and economic classes; I would expect nothing less from two such amazing young women!

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the name assignments go! I assume that Hermione will have to make a gift for Draco, but who’ll be assigned to Ginny?

Hello again! This was another good chapter! I'm excited to see how this story continues on. I'm invested in finding out if Draco also has Hermione's name (which I expect he does!) and if so, how he'll go about finding things out to get her. I love the element of the students stalking each other! It was so funny, and I can totally imagine different people sneaking around as they tried to find out about their Secret Santa giftees. And I think your characterization of Ron as having loud conversations about his interests was spot-on! I laughed out loud picturing that. Your Hermione is still well-written also. I like that she's embraced finding out about Draco so she can give him a gift he'll like, instead of just doing something somewhat generic to just meet the requirements of the task and get on with her life. Again, this is a really cute story premise, and I'm happy I came across this story! I hope the next chapters show more student shenanigans as they try to shop for their giftees, and I can't wait to find out what will happen when Hermione and Draco realize they're giving gifts to each other! Hopefully it will show them a side of each other they hadn't expected...and romance can blossom! ;) Great job, again! Take care! Emily

Hi there!

I'm here for the Magical Menagerie event, but I also wanted to read a fellow 'Puff's Dramione story!

First off, I love Dramione! They're my favorite pairing, and I can't wait to see how you handle them as a couple. This concept is really sweet, and I like it a lot. So far, I can see so many different ways the Secret Santa might go once Hermione realizes that she's pulled Draco's name. And I'm really excited to see which way you write this!

Your characterization of Hermione is really good. I love that she's so giving and compassionate and that she thinks of everything so that people will be able to participate and not feel pressured by House loyalty or financial concerns. And I liked the part at the end where she realized that even she would be hesitant to give a nice gift to someone she doesn't "like" like Pansy.

Finally, great job with the friendship between Hermione and Ginny! I definitely think that isn't explored enough in fanfiction, so I'm happy that it's in this story. Ginny is such a great character that was really not done justice in the movies, so I feel like she's forgotten in fanfics sometimes. But I like that she's here! Well done!

Okay, off I go to read chapter two! :D

Best,
Emily
