I agree with you that Riddle Sr. was a victim. He was drugged, basically, and that's never okay, and it doesn't matter whether you're a boy or a girl, you're going to feel violated after an experience like that. And that's what I think you've captured really well. It's going to have a lasting effect on him and that's reallysad, and he can't even go through an oridnary day without glancing over his shoulder or being reminded of her through the flowers. So, yeah, I really like your take on this!

Thank you for the review! Yeah, he was definitely a rape victim and that is a scarring thing. I can't imagine he was just suddenly okay when he went home. And with the way society treats male rape victims, I imagine he'd have had a very tough time of it.
