Team blue! yeah, here's a Charlie-Tonks ship writer I found! I was so excited.

I am happy to know you wrote the ship. Your description about Tonks is marvelous. Tonks in your story looks so charming and cool from Charlie's POV. I also like the way you wrote Charlie. The dialogues between them in the first meeting are awesome, too. Especially, I love the scene when Charlie called her 'Nymphadora.'

The detailed expressions from how annoyed by baby Teddy, 'cause he looks so much like Tonks, to the cares by Fleur and Bill, are well written, I was very impressed. Your careful depiction about the scene when Charlie couldn't stand holding crying baby, Teddy for not only his loudness but also his similarity to his mother was unbearable, is so distinctive that the readers can't stop feeling for Charlie. A great rework!

After reading June Bug, I mined your AP and found this gem. I probably shouldn't have as I still feel a bit delicate from reading that, but here we are! You seem to have a back for writing parents and baby relationship, it's all very sweet.

This was heartbreaking in every single way. I really felt for Charlie here. When he had a go at Bill about Teddy I knew it must have been because he missed Tonks. People have very different reactions in that situation and I thought it was a fantastic way of expressing his grief at losing his best friend. I liked how you used her hair colour as metaphors and that every single colour now reminds him of her. It really is awful.

I liked how Charlie tried to hate Remus but couldn't. It's obvious he's a lovely guy and just wanted Tonks to be happy no matter who she ended up with. It's such a shame he never told her how he felt, I get that he'll always regret it a little.

The ending was perfect, I loved how Charlie decided to take Bill's advice and be his friend. I feel he'll have some great stories for little Teddy as he grows up. I loved this.

Author's Response:

Hi, Tasha!

Thanks so much for your wonderful feedback. As challenging and sad as it was to navigate, I really enjoyed exploring Charlie's grief for this story. As you said, grief manifests in verious ways depending on the person, and seeing as so many people were lost in the Second Wizarding War, I can only imagine the complex emotions the survivors were grappling with. When I wrote this, I was worried it would seem too harsh (I mean, he's angry at a baby, for goodness sake!), but I'm glad it came across as realistic, givn his circumstances.

Thanks again for your kind words!

Cheers,

Reilly

i'm here! finally! :P

okay, i've never read a story revolving around charlie (or tonks)  so i'm very excited to read this :D even though the summary implies it's kind of sad.

oooh, i understand you, charlie, i like my sleep as well :P

even though charlies is sad and bitter and angry i don't judge him for not being able to handle teddy. he reminds him of tonks and it's obviously way too much for poor charlie :(

(in between all the sadness, the line about teddy inheriting the wolf gene and that that would make him more tolerable was hilarious)

i also love little tonks changing her hair into yellow when she was sorted into hufflepuff!!

awwwww. that story how he fell for her was so sweet. and scarlet (i assume the gryffindor shade of it) becoming her happy colour is wonderful symbolism.

it breaks my heart that charlie feels like he can't mourn tonks properly because of fred and his family's grief. because i think they all know he loved fred just as much as them and he loved tonks, too. and the weasleys have more than enough love for both of them (because i'm also sure they're not just grieving fred, but also tonks and remus and everyone else who died :( )

i love the idea of charlie telling teddy about tonks and all the crazy and brave and fun things she did!

and that last sentence when charlie starts a story about tonks is a perfect way to end this fic :D

this was a great story, i loved reading it! very cute but sad but then it became cute and hopeful at the end which was wonderful!

i don't know how this differs from the original (old) story you wrote but i think your writing in this was great, especially the parts when charlie describes how all the colours remind him of tonks.
