Hi there! Here is a reward review for our Camp FFT event :)

I love this short story so much! I wasn't sure exactly what fandom it was to begin with, but I loved the reveal at the end when Jersey just starts to "MOOOOOO" lol. that was a perfect set-up. 

You really got my heart in a few places -- when the server doesn't respond or know what to say and Jersey was so proud of herself, but she got nothing in return :( and then, when a tear slid down her cheek, that was even more gut wrenching.

AHHH and then at the end when they were talking about eating pig, but then mentioned Wilbur and Babe, that had me laughing. It have to admit it took me too long to figure out why her family had modeled for the company at first haha.

But this is such a sweet little story, and I love that Jersey has support from her friend and her family (in their own way).

LOL!!!! I love this story! I love how you slowly unfold the mystery of just who this character is whose dream is to order from the lunch counter like everyone else. At first I was wondering if maybe this was really abstract and our character was deli meat or something, but as he was talking to his family while they were eating grass, I gradually figured out that he—and the rest of the fam—were cows. The names O’Leary and Bessie tipped me off, along with Bessie’s sweet brown eyes.

 

I loved how brave the Jersey was, and Bessie was a great friend to support him, even if she wasn’t brave enough to come in and order herself.

 

But I really started cracking up when Jersey was in line, rehearsing his order (by the way you did a great job capturing his nervousness and anxiety there. I also rehearse my order when I’m in line at a restaurant, and my heart also thumps and I’m not even a cow) That’s when I realized that he’s a cow at a Chick-fil-a!!!! OMG!!! Hilarious!!!

 

And poor Jersey! He gets all the way to the counter and gives his order—but it comes out as a MOOO so of course the restaurant workers can’t understand. I’m glad Bessie came in to coax him away before he got hauled off by animal control.

 

I wonder if they managed to order at the other restaurant. 

 

LOL for Wilber and Babe too.

Oh my goodness! This was adorable! It was completely unexpected and I loved it. I don't think I would fully call this a fandom but at the same time you are referencing a few fandom type things - restaurant fandom. Seriously not expected and very adorable.

Thank you for this joyful read. I should hopefully get results of the challenge up in the near future.

Hey, I've got a beef with this story.  

Lol - ok - no, I don't!  It's egg-cellent fun. 

And yes, her uncle IS famous, I've seen him all over AND I take his advice.  (And don't think I didn't catch that sneaky O'Leary reference.)   

I think you have created a whole new fandom.  Chick-fil-A fans of the world, write mor storeez!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the story (and the cow references.)  I'm thinking of starting a new genre called fluff with a message. Your review is hilarious-quite witty with the words.
