Hi, Madi. I'm here for the Gryffinclaw Take Flight Review Event!
First I like the title and how you've woven in two different ways the Neville is courageous. I bet, in some ways, he'd rather face that snake again than talk to Luna. I particularly like the description of the sword with the stone and their mesmerizing colors.
I like Neville’s declaration that he likes the way she is a little out there and wears food jewelry and then wraps it up with “I wouldn’t have her any other way except the way she is.” Isn’t that the dream, every girl hopes her boyfriends says about her?
Luna's characterization is spot on. Even at the end, she doesn't give him a straight answer, but talks about radish necklaces--so Luna!
This is such a sweet little piece! I love it! All the positive attention Neville recieves is so wonderful, but I'm not surprised he feels uncomfortable with it all, it's so unfamiliar to him! But oh, Luna. The dialogue between them was so beautiful, and I absolutely believe this is what went down after the scene cut in the movie, hehe! Neville's speech to her was so lovely, and I hope he wears a radish necklace for at least one day, just for Luna! :P
Author's Response:Hey dear! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this, I'm notoriously bad a responding to reviews. (oops!) I just loved the opportunity with them after the Battle of Hogwarts, and I absolutely drew from that little scene of the two of them in the movie for this! This was a small piece written way back a few years ago for an event on HPFF but I thought it would be a nice little thing to post over here as a cute drabble of sorts. Neville definitely isn't used to be congratulated on his actions so I felt it was the proper thing for him to feel awkward about getting all of that attention, so I'm glad you thought so as well! Thanks for the review Bianca! :)
