Oh I have no idea what I've just read, only that I can't stop laughing! This whole thing was a complete masterpiece - Sirius as the absolute worst vampire in existence and Remus...well I have no idea where to begin with him really. Awkward, sarcastic and absolutely done with everything.

 

First of all, But. I've already ate my Snickers had me keeling over with laughter, he has no idea at all. Then he got all offended when the vampire didn't like how he tasted, oh my life, where did you come up with this?! Sirius the vampire giving him health advice was brilliant - that whole bite scene was hysterical. I love how he kept asking about his supplements throughout the story though, as they became friends and then boyfriends. In terms of a story arc, I really didn't think I was going to fall in love with them as a couple, but I totally did. Their first kiss was actually perfect!

The thing that made this work so well, other than the fact it is the funniest thing I've read in ages, is that the characterisations of Remus and Sirius are totally spot on. I loved the whole thing!

Hi Plums!

 

This was a really fun read! The humour was on point and so was your characterization. I was laughing out loud through the whole bite scene, it was just so funny and contrary to how that sort of situation should have gone. I really liked the scene where Sirius starts pouting and Remus is thinking how unattractive it is/how he looks like a 15 year old. And another detail I really enjoyed was how Sirius has, like, no concept of dressing appropriately.

 

I just thought Sirius in particular was so perfectly characterized through this whole thing, although Remus was perfect too, and that's what made the whole thing so enjoyable - the AU and the humour and all of it was backed up by that characterization and how perfectly you carried these two through to this new situation. (Idk if that makes any sense :P)

 

I really enjoyed this, great work!!

Haha, I'm glad you liked this entire Mess because I honestly don't know what possessed me to write it. I was looking for prompts on tumblr, saw this one and just wrote without pausing to think. So! The fact that the characterisation and humour were alright is a huge relief lmao. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who laughed tbh :P

 

Sirius just has no concept of doing anything appropriately let's be honest. I just love the thought of him living out his immortal life doing whatever the hell he wants and Remus is just along for the ride.

OH MY GOD PLUMS I’M ACTUALLY DYING OF LAUGHTER HERE.

 

Hang on a second. I need to try to write something even half-coherent, but I’m practically deceased. This is, without a doubt, the funniest thing I’ve ever read. 

 

I think the two bits I loved the most were Peter as “a Lil Wayne fanboy with garlic bread between his teeth” (OHMYGOD I’M STILL DYING) and Sirius’s soft yummy. But honestly, the entire thing was such a masterpiece. Remus is so freaking relatable—perfectly awkward, completely done with life, so gay he should just walk around with rainbow hair, honestly.

 

And Sirius! Sirius is the worst vampire in existence, good God. Whatever happened to being heartless? But I suppose I should’ve expected literally nothing else from this overdramatic little shit.

 

I’m still cracking up, but I’m also a puddle of feels over their kiss. That’s so sweet! They’re so sweet. I’m in love. And I need more? Like, Remus needs to meet James too? And Sirius HAS to meet Peter ohmygod (but that might actually kill me so maybe not haha). 

 

I don’t think this was really coherent. Sorry. I’m still dying of laughter :P Definitely bookmarking this to reread later because I’m smiling like a lunatic right now! Loved it. <3

Shreya, honestly, you're too sweet!! But really I am sooo glad you enjoyed it because I cooked it up at like 2am and wrote in like two sittings (which let's be honest, we can probably see that it's the result of writing past one in the morning lmao) so I don't know what I was thinking for half of it? @ my brain, what are you on

 

You know what, I'm not even embarrassed for admitting it, but I laughed out loud when I typed the Lil Wayne fanboy line because it was so vivid in my mind. I'm not sure whether you know who Vicky Pollard is, but picture a male Vicky Pollard in darker trackies and lots more chains (plus the garlic bread ofc). THAT'S THE IMAGE. And oh God, if he met Sirius.

 

Remus is so gay. Like. So, so gay. He thinks he's about to get stabbed and he's still like "wow, this guy is terrifying but also lowkey good looking" and then the vampire turns up at his uni and he's like "wow this guy is creepy but I wouldn't mind him in my bed". You're so right, he should just go around with rainbow hair.

 

Sirius is indeed a bad vampire, but imagine James? He would be so much worse? And he's older than Sirius so just imagine him lording that over everyone or making dramatic comments about how he's never been so hurt in his 200 years of life over the slightest inconvenience "and that's coming from someone who was dying from tuberculosis, Remus. How does that make you feel knowing you've hurt me more than the TB, huh?"

 

Anyways, I'm so glad you liked this! This was an absolutely lovely review so thank you v much for leaving it x
