Hi there! It's so awesome to read other Cursed Child work on here :D

 

I loved this so much! I don't think I've ever given much thought to Harry and Ginny's immediate reactions upon hearing of his sorting into Slytherin, which actually horrifies me because of how much I adore Albus. So thank you for sharing this!

 

I also thought James' letter was adorable. What little of him we see in the play, he comes across as rather uncaring towards Albus - but hey, siblings tease each other, right? But it was so nice to read James' genuine concern for his brother, and him being proud of Albus going with his instincts. It humanizes him so much and that's really important. 

 

It's also sad though because of the way Ginny is worried Albus will, in fact, isolate himself because we know that is exactly what happens. 

 

Albus' line about hoping he hasn't disappointed his dad truly broke my heart. My baby is so insecure and it really shows. I just want to hug him. Thank heavens he has Scorpius to help make everything that much better!

Thank you for this postive review. When I first published this, elsewhere, I had such a scathing review telling me how I was completely wrong, but this is how I read the situation. Especially in regards to James, it is obvious if you watch him, he is genuinely concerned for his brother.
