Hi there! Leaving a review for Quadpot (Match 3) and BvB! 

 

This fic has left me so sad because it basically feels like evidence of Cedric’s goodness. You’ve really shown how he’s a Hufflepuff through and through—dedicated to patience and giving everyone a fair deal. I loved that he really jumped to Harry’s defense and stood up to his father about that; sometimes Hufflepuffs are characterized as sort of pushovers, but your Cedric is decisive and determined and sticks to his beliefs, which I admire in him! His undeniable goodness makes the last line in this fic even more tragic, because it brings to mind all the other things he could’ve done if he’d lived, all the kindness he could’ve spread. The moment with his father, too, was such an interesting conversation; for me, it contextualizes Amos’s anger after Cedric. Obviously part of his anger is incited by his grief, but I can see him being angry at perhaps the unfairness of it all, especially since Cedric was supporting Harry and everything. Ugh. Now I’m almost about to cry! I’ve never really had too many strong opinions about Cedric’s death as opposed to some of the other characters’ deaths, but this fic has left me feeling a lot more attached to him.
