Reviews For Behind the Curtain

Hi! Running away from heat wave outside, I stopped by. It's cool imagining in Russia.

The most impressive scene is Duncan's pub scene. I always favorite Scottish culture.

The description, sword dance and rugby watching, I love them.

So you described both sides, Dumbledore's followers and dark power Anastasia will be deeply involved with. I guess she will regret later, because she feels already a sense of injustice about abducting Poland's leader. To join in higher-ups, she tried to ignore a sense of justice.

It's interesting two brothers, Archibald and Augustus were from Slytherins. I feel you try to write good Slytherins as well as Voldemort's followers. I like the plot.

I really enjoyed the first scene about Archibald's mission including a portrait of the newly crowned Queen on the wall. :)

Thank you so much for the great review! Yeah this heat wave has been pretty brutal around my parts too. Definetely a good time to imagine being somewhere cold!

I love Scottish culture too! I'm American, but I have some family from there and I got to visit once, such a great experience. I hope I was able to do it justice here.

Some of my favorite spy novels that I've read cover the perspective of both sides and lets you understand each motivation. I think it works well in this particular genre.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

Hi! I finally came back to drop a review. Hopefully, more, when I can find time.

From the start, most of all star future Death Eaters entered here, it’s spectacular. The other characters, Vladimir, Anastasia are unique. The background of Dolohov and Karkaroff you set up in this chapter is interesting, too. Even J.K.Rowling hasn’t mentioned how they worked for Tom Riddle in 1950’s. It’s impressive you combined political power in the Muggle World with the Magical World. Readers can guess what’s happening next after Grindelwald from your description. It’s very promising, full of action and adventure.

The last half of this story is quite a show. Though we could grasp how powerful Voldemort was from the film, we couldn’t catch from the books in detail. You created how smart he was and what a powerful wizard he was. The mannequin, Dumbledore was beat by Tom Riddle. The plot worked well. We can imagine what’s coming next with excitement.

All in all, all characterization and description of each character are super. I like your style, visual description.

Thank you so much for such a great review! This era is kind of a big unknown gap in the canon, so it was very fun and interesting for me to be able to explore it. In particular, I always wondered what Tom Riddle was up to during these years, and there seemed to be some canon hints that he developed some Eastern European ties along the way.

I'm also a big fan of spy fiction, so I was excited to try to combine two of my literary loves! Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
