I read the description, and I’m intrigued. My first thought was that this might be a deconstruction of the fandom’s famed couple Scorpius and Rose.
We’ll see how that goes.
Ooh, I wonder what happened to make Scorpius so happy, clearly it must be good.
I love how Scorpius thinks good of his name, but in the end it comes down to one person. Scorpius also comes off as bit of an arrogant twat, so there’s that.
I am… so far liking this description of Rose Weasley. She’s the typical I’m-my-mum’s-daughter character, but the way in which Scorpius describes her makes her seem unappealing, and he seems to hold a disdain for her.
“And a big tease.” I’m assuming that Scorpius had had previous relations with Rose? Saying big tease is maybe kind of implying that Rose led him on?
Scorpius sure does like to think about Rose a lot despite the amount of time he spends telling himself he should stop thinking about her.
Oh, damn, Rose did lead him on! Must be hard to deal with letting someone else get to know you, only to realize they used it all against you.
I was genuinely about to say that Scorpius should probably deal with his problems in a Better Way, but the surprise factor shocked me.
I am Confused. The ending confused me, but upon thinking about it for a bit, it all makes sense.
So, here are all of my thoughts:
This was kind of a deconstruction, I suppose, in a way. Scorpius’ train of thought was kind of unnerving, how much he thought about Rose. So I guess he was doing all of this smuggling to catch her attention, and in the process, stalking her?
Huh. It’s not the typical Scorpius/Rose story, in that they don’t end up as a healthy couple and work their way through everything.
I definitely saw the humor in this. Scorpius thought too much about Rose for us to be convinced that he was over her, and he sees himself as a hero that does Morally Ambiguous stuff for the Greater Good of Society. It’s a funny a play on him.
I think this was a nice read! I totally need to review your other stuff, and start reviewing Rabbit Heart because I’ve read it before, and I loved it.
Author's Response:Ah... hahahaha.... THIS thing...
Well. If you found it intriguing, and slightly humorous, then you got the point of it. The premise of the story was: "I want to write a Scor/Rose where Scorpius ends up getting arrested", and this was the result.
Yeah, you could call it a deconstruction of sorts, and yeah, it's definitely NOT a typical Scor/Rose, and since you read Rabbit Heart, I bet you prefer that pairing to this one...
But it was so much fun to write!
And by the way, you read Rabbit Heart????
I love you!
I'm slowly getting it up on this site. It's one of my projects for the summer. Thanks for the review!

REVIEW TAG!
... Also, I'm on a mission to review all the Speed Dating entries, so this is killing two (metaphorical) birds with one stone!
OMG! I am laughing so hard! I actually adore Scorpius. So what if he's being brought in on stalking charges? No one's perfect. And I loved how much in denial he is about Rose Weasley, yet can't stop thinking about her at all - ver endearing.
I also love how he thinks he's some sort of superhero! I can see the elements - all he needs is a tragic backstory and he's all set to be the next Batman ;P I'm loving that he's a smuggler, for good reasons or bad, who really knows? I'm sure he is saving some children's lives along the way, but not without great personal profit!
Okay, so this was wonderful! I'm off to read your partner's entry now! Fantastic job and good luck :)

Yay!
Kudos to you and everyone else who has even thought of reviewing all of the speed dating entries. There are SO MANY, it's unbelievable! I haven't read every single one, but the ones I have gotten to were fantastic!
Haha! Poor Scorpius! I can totally see him as Batman, and don't worry. I'm sure that Scorpius will concoct his own tragic back story. Just ask him. He's got it ALL. ;P
Thanks so much for the review, and for reviewing as many entries as you can. We all appreciate that greatly!
