Hey, I'm here for the winter wonderland!

Your characterization of Remus is so, so on point. You capture how absolutely isolated his life has been - particularly since his friends died, but it's clear that he had serious trust issues even before that, if Lily was the only other woman he'd ever really opened up to. That speaks to how stigmatized werewolves are in wizarding society, I think, and it measures up with what we see in the books in a super depressing but totally true to canon kind of way. I really liked that you showed some of the backstory that was alluded to in terms of Remus being undercover - it was never really clear what that meant, and this is such a cool way of interpreting it.

Your Tonks is perfect, too - and in some ways, I can even really see the Hufflepuff in her here. She's not happy with the situation and she knows that he's holding back, but she doesn't really attack it head on - she just pushes back firmly and persuasively. She's the unmovable force rather than the unstoppable object - that's so true to who she is, and it made this such a nice story.

Great job! <3

Author's Response:

Thank you :)

I really need to re-read the books. I've lost touch with all the Characters in HP land but I'm glad you feel that I have the characters right. I'm not a huge Remus/Tonks fan, I much prefer the Marauder Era, so this was a challenge for me to write.
