Grr, stop right in the middle there why don't you! *glares* :p . But at least he's starting to explain, i wonder if we get to hear anymore about/from Snape in this story. he is my favourite character so I can't help wondering, and he does seem to be linked very strongly with Draco's past and setting him up in this Muggle house and all.I liked how you had all of them interested to know as well as Hermione. I don't know why but I had been thinking he had already told Harry and Ginny, or just Harry perhaps, but it makes a lot more sense this way. Great chapter, will have to read more soon to find out what's going on! :D

She's fighting a losing battle, Hermione. And she even wavers between acknowledging it and tring to deny it. She realised in the car she loved him, but then decided to keep her distance by the end, makes you want to hit her really :p . But it's a good thing to include in the story, her indecision is very important I reckon, and it keeps us expectant :D . I thought it was nice how you had both Ginny and Hermione thinking of Ron in not a completely negative way, though what he did is still pretty unforgivable, imo :p . And you had to split the chapter up, huh? nothing wrong with long chapters ;) .
Author's Response: Yes, there are a few times you just want Hermione to snap out of it and see whats in front of her..lol..But as you said, her indecision is important. I don't think Hermione would be Hermione without it.
Yes, Ron is a hard one at the moment. On one hand he had done something unforgivable, on the other, Ron is Ginny's brother and a close one til recently and Hermione spent so many years with Ron, not all of those years were unhappy one's. I think Hermione is mainly missing his friendship.
No, nothing wrong with long chapters :) Just my chapters haven't been that long all the way through.

Well Draco and Hermione's relationship seems to be moving on well, or at least not too damaged from Hermione trying to distance herself. I liked how you detailed both their thoughts ont he matter in this chapter, not just staying with one, and how they were both thinking ismilar things :) .Really want to know when Draco's going to open up to her, must be soon now! But I suppose I will just have to read on and find out :D .
Author's Response: lol...I'd say that your starting to get right into the heart of the story now. In a few more chapters, most of your questions will be answered :)
I like to write what's going on in people's heads. Its funny how sometimes we over analyse situations and generally you have the same thoughts or hesitations as someone else does, but you just don't voice them, which is what Draco and Hermione are doing.
They pretty much are thinking along the same lines, but just arn't voicing themselves which makes things harder for them both. However, Hermione really does need to know more about Draco before she can trust him enough to be with him. Its not like Hermione to be with someone if she can't trust them :)

Ginny was really well written in this, and I liked how you had her comfort Harry, it's nice that he has someone he can say those kind of things to, and know that they will be there for him so he doesn't have to keep it to himself and just deal. And I'm glad she understood that Harry wasn't saying he was jealous of Draco because he liked Hermione, but that he felt he was losing a friend.The argument with molly seemed sudden, but when I think about it it is very likely that would happen like that, going by how she is about Percy. So all in all I htink you wrote that part well too :) .
Author's Response: I really love Ginny and Harry together :) I cheered when they got together in HBP, then cried when Harry had to break up with her. They are just so well fit, in my opinion, so what I wrote, is the way I see them :)
You nailed it on the head with Molly :) The argument was sudden, but I also see Molly protective of her family and she can't see how her youngest Son could do so wrong when Draco is in the picture.

Author's Response: lol...Updates are on the way, I'm afraid you'll just have to bear with me, I'm trying to organise my wedding while still being a Mum, so my real life is pretty busy right now.

ah, how many people say 'when the time is right'? I wonder what the right moment will be for him to tell her whatever it is he isn't telling her. Whenever that should be, i hope it's reaosnably soon ;) . I am very interested to know about what's happened even more now! You're spinning this out nicely though, and I think you're keeping a good pace for the plot to work out. Really curious about that prophecy too of course.I thought it was really good how you made Draco's house Muggle, it adds to the mystery of what's ahppened and also shows Hermione how different he is, which is something she needs to see obviously. I look forward to reading more :) .
Author's Response: All good things come in time :) It was important for me to pace the story out and drop hints here and there for whats to come. I didn't want to 'rush' the relationship between Draco and Hermione, yet want them together at the same time. I'm also trying to keep Draco in character, while taking him on a path that isn't in his character to make the relationship work and be believeable, so I hope that is what I'm doing :)
Yes, Draco living like a Muggle is all part of the plan :) I'm sure you'll find out all those reasons why soon enough :)

ooo! I hope at some point we get to see a meeting between Draco and Ron now, i confess to liking the protective guy vs. guy who mistreated the girl scenes ;) . I still can't believe what Ron did but I think it's a good touch to the story and it certainly moves things along a good bit. I also liked how you had hermione go for Draco, though Harry didn't like it much, and that Harry accepted it after thinking a bit.You wrote Hermione's character really wel in this chapter I thought, she was obviously shaken by what had happened but while it did happen she was able to get herself out and to safety, like she has done so many other times. Great chapter :)
Author's Response: I love the protective guy thing too, its an old fashin trait that I wish more boys/men have these days. I still can't believe I made Ron that way towards Hermione. I actually do like the whole Ron/Hermione ship, and I'm seriously going to cry if JKR doesn't get them together in her last book, but for this fic, Ron had to be the way that he is...Why?? Well, you'll see :)
I'm glad you picked up on Hermione's knack of getting herself out of trouble. She can have her moments of weakness, but all in all, she is a strong character that can pull herself together and do what needs to be done.

oo excitement! I like this new look at Ron's character, driven to finding her again by knowing what he's been missing. Now I know it's Ron who was in there, I really would have liked to see what would have happened had Draco gone in with Hermione, now that would have been interesting :D .I like how you made it Draco to who Hermione is apparating. After the dance and everythign in the last chapter she feels safe with him and I think it's important that that's who she's going to run to. I really want to know what happens when she finds him, if she tells him everything that happens or not, so off to read on :D .
Author's Response: lol...Yes, I got the inspiration to make Ron this way from the look he gives Harry in GOF (Movie) when Harry's name is revealed as a champion. So I like to see a darker Ron for a change :)
Well, it can't be a Dramoine fic if she doesn't feel safe with Draco, but does this feeling last???...lol...Guess you'll find out soon enough.

you do like your cliffies!! what an evil place to leave it!! especially after a chapter where such a lot went right. I mean, Draco talked to her, hermione actually sat and listened, they danced and it was going so nicely, and then you had to go and leave it there. I wonder what would've happened if Draco had stayed for coffee and they'd found whoever it is together.I am now dying to know who it is and what happens to Hermione, not more so than i want to know about Draco's past mind ;) . Off to read more :)

omigosh! i shld be telling my friend abt your story... you see, we've been discussing Dumbledore's death in HBP if it was staged (my take) or real (her opinion). I would really like to hear the full details on why Dumbledore faked his own death and abt Malfoy's prophecy.
Also, I couldn't help but feel that Hermione seems to be in an ""interesting stage"" (. What with all the dizziness and the dislike of food of eggs and bacon.) Is she preggy???
Author's Response: lol...Yes, DD's death will always be discussed til the last book is released and we all know for sure. I hope his death is staged, but he could simply be gone forever.

lol, damn, why couldn't he break that promise huh? ;) Well I am most interested to know about this energy, is it something as simple as love (though I hesitate to call love simple), or is there somethign else to it? Well I suppose i will find all this out, but you know, worth asking :D . Perhaps we can trade information on our fics ;) . Well, maybe not :p .Now that letter at the beginning is interesting, as Draco says. I want to know if this is in some way connected with the energy thing, that's what I first thought of, but I could easily be wrong. The plot is getting interesting as well as you moving along the relationship side too, I look forward to reading more, very nice chapter :) .

lol! ok this was my favourite chapter so far, and see I knew my whinging in my last review would mean she caved soon ;) . yeah, yeah, I know the thing's already written but I swear it jumped it forward or something :D . I'm just glad that she did finally agree to dinner, how long has he been asking? 3 chapters? That's long enough for anyone to hold out!My particular favourite part of this has to be the beginning though, I mean that just made me laugh :D . I really didn't see it coming when she read out the report and I htought it was a good touch, Hermione's subconscious knew even if she refused to acknowledge it! My only criticism is still Luna I'm afraid, she just doesn't feel enough Luna for me, but I thought that last bit with her was well written :) .
Author's Response: lol...Trust me, this version of Luna is better than the original version I had written. I don't know why, but she sounded like a complete lunatic, who had just escaped from an Insane Assylum!!!

Sounds like he's wearing her down now, things are moving along at a nice speed :) . I liked the change from the normal narrative with a couple of letters, they flowed nicely too. I especially like the roses one with the reasons that Draco sent, you wrote Hermione's feelings really well at that point.The scene with Harry was surprising, as I think it was meant to be. I liked how he was the one offering support to Draco, as weird as that sounds. I hope Hermione will cave soon, and at least listen to what he has to say because i want to know!!! ;) . Perhpas he will come up with some amazing idea on how to ask her that she just simply can't refuse and then we'll find out, you do draw things out (erm, not that I'm being hypocritical or anything ;) ). Another great chapter :) .
Author's Response: lol...I did tell you that I have a habbit of drawing things out. Though I have to admit, I wanted too. I've read soo many Draco/Hermione fics where the relationship happens fast or is already established. As you'll find out in later chapters, there are reason's behind the attraction, the rejection and the coming together. Everything had a reason or a purpose.
I'm glad you liked the fact that I wrote in Hermione's feelings. Its important to know how each character goes through their thought process or feelings to establish why they make the decisions that thay do, regardless if they are right or wrong.
Yes, Harry is a supporter of Draco's...lol..It is a surprising facet for Harry to have, but then again, he also had the time to understand Draco and work with him, where Hermione didn't.
