The title drew me into this story. I saw it and I was like, "Oh, I like zombies. And I like cats. Therefore, put the two of them together, and you have something double the greatness!" So I started reading this. Just thought I'd share. I really like your title, haha.

 

I liked the use of Danish words throughout this chapter. It's different than your average British student (though Ronan is British, as well, he just has a different background), and though I don't know whether they're accurate or not either (I'm not Danish either), I thought they showed a glimpse into his culture. I would just say that when using words from a different language, italicizing them makes it clear that they are from a different language. Sometimes I saw "Far" and my brain immediately went "a long, long way to run."

Ha I love The Sound of Music! I'm sorry about being so late with a response. I sort of came up with the title Zombie Cat solely because that is the comic that is so instrumental in Ronan's life. It really helps him manage his anxiety. The Danish words are an ode to my love of culture and all things Scandinavian. It is my dream to live in Denmark someday. The words are definitely accurate but I'm sorry for not italicizing Far. It just felt more forced than the other words.
