Tiramisu is the name of an arctic fox who was brought to medieval England by an Italian trader and left at an abbey in Cambridgeshire to be the pet of two young boys who had been placed in the abbey by their families. Set in the disastrous Fourteenth Century, this is the story of one of those boys, Martin, who had to endure what no fifteen-year-old should have to face--calamity. loss, grief--but also a story of friendship, survival, spirituality, and ultimately a connection to canon.
Written for the Bookshelf Challenge of Bex (Beyond the Rain). The random quote prompt, "I started to step out of my clothes as Tom leaned against the doorframe," is from the book Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams. My eternal thanks to Bex for giving me the impetus to write this one-shot that grew into a novel.

Aziraphale Fell is a flight attendant who excels at delivering top notch customer service, but when it comes to his relationships outside the aircraft, things tend to crash and burn. After a particularly bumpy breakup, he decides to try a more casual approach to fulfilling his needs on the ground. What he can’t anticipate is that the man of his choosing ends up being a frequent flier on one of his monthly lines.
Anthony Jay Crowley is a London based architect who is working on a project in New York City. The last thing Crowley expects is to bump into the affable steward at the same bar following his flight. Starved for companionship, Crowley cannot help but be drawn to this man's quiet charms.
What was originally intended as a single night of passion soon turns into something more, which leads Aziraphale to wonder if he is headed for an emotional tailspin just as Crowley doubts the sustainability of something long term.
Can these two pilot their relationship through past insecurities and push through the turbulent challenges their current lifestyles present? Or will they release the controls and allow their hearts to fall to pieces?

There is freedom in knowing what’s in your heart. There is comfort in knowing you are not alone.
For all their knowledge of all the languages of the world, Aziraphale and Crowley have created one for themselves that only they seem to understand.
Essentially, all the prompts I had to use in "The Heart is Hard to Translate" but fluffier (in most cases), and in some instances, smuttier, and without word count constraints.

One day, he just scrawled his signature all over Henry’s face, just for the heck of it. The fan whose book he’d been holding had absolutely loved the fact that he’d done so, so a few events later, where more and more fans of the film he and Henry had done together had shown up, he’d done it again, to the sheer delight of the fans there. After that, it had become some sort of joke, just to see how long it’d take Henry to realise he was doing it.

With Albus Dumbledore dead, Severus Snape assumes the unwanted role of Headmaster, charged with bringing the students of Hogwarts through the rest of the war against Voldemort somehow intact. Severus’s heart tears itself in two, trying to hold on to Miranda Rose, his reckless American fiancée, while still following Albus’s orders from beyond the grave.
Unfortunately, the more he reveals to Miranda, the less she trusts him. And the harder he clings to the loyalties of the past, the faster his future disappears.

With everything in life, there is a season. And they are always changing.
Maria Wynstone is mostly content with a quiet life at her family's country estate, but as the daughter of a gentleman farmer, she knows that a few bad seasons can make all the difference to one's circumstances. And Maria has had her fair share of bad seasons in Town, to make her never wish to quit there again.
Arthur Colbourne does not mind the law per se, but an embarrassing bumble in court rattles his confidence to the point where he questions all he's ever worked for. However, when his Uncle Wallace unexpectedly dies and he inherits the estate, Arthur finds himself thrust into a role that he is quite underprepared for, particularly when he meets the daughter of his new neighbour, Miss Maria Wynstone.
Drawn to her quiet charms, Arthur finds himself feeling things he's never experienced before. And when the delightful Miss Wynstone receives startling news about her brother, Gerry, Arthur cannot help but offer his services to help her find the truth of what happened to him. As the hunt for Gerry reaches a critical turning point, both Maria and Arthur are confronted not only for their growing feelings for one another, but also ghosts from their pasts. They must then find a way to move beyond their individual failings, should they want to succeed together.
